Our research covers the broad range of geochemistry. It is based on high precision analytical data that we directly collect in the field, or we use the state-of-the-art analytical and experimental facilities of our innovative and continuously updated laboratory. The Laboratory for Environmental and Raw Material Analysis (LERA) has a broad range of sophisticated instruments that allow characterizing the mineralogy, geochemistry, hydrochemistry and isotopic composition of a variety of natural and anthropogenic materials. The complexity of samples in the framework of our research projects require a constant adaption of existing and development of new sample preparation and analytical procedures. For example, we develop sampling and sensor-systems to improve the temporal and spatial resolution of field sampling and monitoring. We are also open for scientific cooperation in all fields, where the elemental composition, mineralogy or isotope composition of samples are of interest.
